Anxo’s second Cd is an experimental masterpiece featuring acoustic instruments and a fantastic production. Beautiful melodies where the gaïta and the fiddle form the fundamental new sound of the contemporary music scene.

Anxo Lorenzo can be seen as one of the new top artists who see no borders between traditional and contemporary music. On top of that he has the skills to melt different musical styles into fresh and powerful melodies. He combines the sound of the Galician gaïta with a broad array of alternative music styles such as rock, pop,  jazz, flamenco, chill-out, hip hop, electronic, …
In his hands the gaïta becomes an avant-garde instrument without loosing his Celtic roots.

Anxo has collaborated with what reads like a Who is Who of the music world, from the pure traditional folk scene to jazz, not forgetting rock, pop and electronic genres, such as Skape, Celtas Cortos, Lunasa, Kathryn Tickell, Michael McGoldrick, The Chieftains, Daimh, The National Jazz Orchestra, Luigi Lai, Diarmaid Moynihan, Brian Finnegan, Dervish, Jaula de Grillos, Tejedor, Angus Mackenzie, Iain MacDonald, Germán Díaz, Jarlath Henderson, Ross Ainslie, Andy May, Fred Morrison, Mónica Molina, Amistades Peligrosas, Xarabal, Om/Off, Poncho k, Spiritu…

In Belgium Anxo played at Schottish Weekend, CC De Adelberg in Lommel, at Gooikoorts, Zilleghem Folk and Labadoux. On the last two stages he shared stage with Fred Morrison. In Holland he played at Celtic & Balfolk in Rotterdam. Internationally Anxo performed  at WOMAD 2010, Musicport Festival, Celtic Connections (UK), BBC Radio 3,  Festival do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira (Galicia), Celtic Footprint (UK) and various tours across Spain, Germany, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
The band is available within the genre of World music, Spain-Galicia, Celtic music, Gaita and they are open to play at festivals, theatres or in tours.
